poetry and mexican food
last night at iguana’s in downtown san jose
it was open mic night
lots of r&b soul juxtaposed with gritty mexican food
we sat eating nacho fries, quesadillas, and clutching our distended bellies
then,
we read charles bukowski poetry out loud while others worked on their math take home midterms
in pen.
lots of laughter and lewd poems
who knew
that reading poetry and eating...
I foolishly told her she'd never be able to...

it’s discomfiting when you can see yourself age throughout the years via facebook profile pictures. what does that say about me?? contemplating whether i should be contemplating publicly.

Brussel sprouts with H E A T ! ! ! part II
by popular demand… the recipe!
1 pound fresh Brussels sprouts 1/4 pound thick-cut bacon Butter (optional) <—- Nanette says, not really optional if you’re going to make this… Sriracha hot sauce Lime Salt and pepper
Directions
